I’m hoping the bill dies in committee and fortunately, there is no Senate version, yet, that I can tell. Regardless, we need help getting folks to call the 50 co-sponsors of this nonsense. Letters to editor would also help. This really is bad legislation as it exists today.

One correction on your numbers. A little over 4,700 pedestrians die each year. There are 25 kids killed in back-over accidents by the rear bumpers and engine running tail pipes. Only 5 blind pedestrians die each year and none has yet died from a Prius accident. The Prius has the same rate of pedestrian accidents as ordinary cars.

This is bad legislation and needs either to be fixed or die in committee. Remember, your silence is assent.
